Animal testing and cruelty free
Hi friends!! I don’t usually make a post very often but I wanted to share some information with you all! I’ve recently began switching over to cruelty- free products and I wanted to share with you all the many benefits of it!
As some may or may not know animal testing is not at all good or safe for the animals. I was actually very surprised by all the companies and household products I found to be animal tested. We all know many make-up brands test but I was shocked to find that every drug store brand of toothpaste, razors, and make-up products were. Not to mention there are brands of deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and tons of soaps and shampoos. After all the research I did I found that to me personally it was morally right to stand up against these brand even if it’s a small stance. However I felt like informing all of the cool people of tumblr about some of the benefits of switching over because I felt a lot of my followers would appreciate it!
To start, I had first started using cruelty-free products from Lush. and we all love Lush. The cool thing about them is I get my deodorant, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hair spray, and shaving cream from them! It made it easier for me to start completely switching over to all cruelty-free because half the stuff that gets tested on animals is sold at Lush cruelty free! Not only are they great for their no animal testing stance but there products work way better than other i’ve used. They’re all homemade organic products, they smell wonderful and are great for you!! So i’ve found that by switching over to cruelty free products i’ve actually become a lot healthier due to most of the products being organic or vegan.
Another cool perk I found was toothpaste and razor brands. I started using Dr. Brites whitening toothpaste which by the way is only about 9 dollars per tube and is all organic, vegan, and test free. After about 3 days of using it my teeth have become whiter than they’ve ever been! They look so nice! I also started using preserve brand razors and not only are they cruelty-free but they’re made from 100% recycled goods and are eco friendly! It’s also only $8 dollars for a razor and they have refill packs starting at $2 dollars so they’re super affordable!
One last perk i’ve found- switching to cruelty-free has urged me to buy nicer make-up! Many would be happy to hear that a lot of brands at Sephora like urban decay and bare minerals are cruelty-free! I’ve never been one to wear super nice quality make-up but I love their brands and I feel so pretty! and switching over to cruelty free urged me to do that! For those who feel they cannot afford Sephora however are in luck because there are tons of cheap make-up brands out there as well such as Wet n Wild (which I love their liquid eyeliner).
All in all I decided to made this post because switching over to cruelty free is one of the best things i’ve ever done and I wanted to recommend it to all of you cool kids who follow me! Not only does it protest the unnecessary treatment towards animals but it’s also a lot better for you! It pushes you to use brands that are not only affordable but organic and better for your body! I’ve loved all the products I started using and I really hope you all consider making the switch!
