Looking for Hobbit Fanvids
I've been asked where to find one or two good Hobbit fanvids, and I'm embarrassed to say I have no idea--I seldom watch them. BUT I know that others of y'all out there might be able to point me in the right direction. Help a girl out?
Winter's Children
So, I'm piggybacking on a post by thewinterjawline but with SDCC just around the corner (and a few of my friends here planning on going), WWPhilly is so very much on my mind. I still can't believe it all happened, and I still miss my Con girls (thewinterjawline barneswinter dr-assbutt ) and the connection we made just hanging in line. I wish we were all going to SDCC but maybe we can pull our resources together for next year! Either way, you all are awesome and crack me the hell up and I miss y'all.

1. What’s the weather like where you are right now?
MUGGY. This weekend was gorgeous but now we're into summer grossness. Do not want.

COMIC CON. Seriously, I can think of nothing else since I got back. I met some seriously wonderful people and am thrilled to be in touch with you all. No, seriously. You all know who you are. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE FOR A METAL-ARMED GROUP HUG.
3. How do you take your coffee/tea if you drink it?
Straight black, always for my tea (not really a coffee drinker. Except Turkish coffee. That stuff rules.). I have, however, tried milk with my Smoky Earl Grey and that rocks.
4. Favorite scent?

5. Ever been outside your country of origin? Where to?
Yes, I'm very thankful to have travelled a fair amount. I've loved my trips to England, Ireland, Italy, France, Greece, Egypt, and Turkey.
6. Recommend me a movie to watch and a song to listen to?
Tropic Thunder is one of the greatest movies of all time GO WATCH IT NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T. I can quote it from start to finish. I also really love the Giorgio Moroder remix of Coldplay's Midnight. The original song itself is meh to me, but the mix is the JAM. Like permanent repeat car/cardio jam.
7. Should I combine my personal/fandom blog (this one) with my smut blog?
Sometimes separate is ok. Just make sure that bad boy is linked somewhere so we can find it! ;^)
8. Have you ever laughed so loud and so hard in public at something on your laptop that, say, everyone in Starbucks turned around and looked at you? (No? Is that just me?)
Ummm, yes. All the time. Today it was a video on YouTube of the farting scene in Blazing Saddles. Seriously, go here and try not to pee yourself laughing.

aw, i hope so. thanks. i think i might finger through the song and scales a couple of times. the real thing that could be problematic is the sight reading, then again, i am usually okay with that. and the 32nd notes

What's a beep test? It sounds vaguely terrifying
The fact that you've never heard of it means that you are a very lucky person.
It was a little different for my school, but basically what the beep test is is you have two spots on the floor a certain distance apart, there is a recording of a voice that tells you to start running.
It starts out slow, but gets faster and faster, you have to run between the two points as fast as you can.
The longer it goes on the more people drop out.
Slowly at first, then there are only a couple of brave souls left.
Soon it gets too fast and there is only one person left.
They keep running, trying to make it to the imagined end.
But after a few more laps they begin to slow down.
You know its over when everyone is on the floor, out of breath.
Basically its the worst thing that ever happened to PE.

Well, I think I tend to write slower than most, because I'm a tad obsessive about getting it down as close to the way I want it the first time as possible, and don't bother with outlines or anything. Basically, I just write as I think it, so it generally takes me about four hours or so, depending on how distracted I am, and how much sleep I've had.
I'm probably not a good gauge because like I said, I write really slowly. It also depends on what I'm writing. For instance, I'm faster with dialogue, but slower with smut. The plottier/set-up parts take me the longest, but I can fly through descriptions of character reactions and inner conflict.
That is probably so not helpful, I'm sorry. I can tell you though, that I don't write any faster now than I did a year ago, despite how much I've written in that time, so I think that it's just a matter of how each person executes the story as it comes to them, individually. Apparently, my style is overthinking and editing as I go. Good luck!
