IT HAD BEEN OVER A YEAR ... a year since willa had left the bau to take a special mission. no one had known where she went, but that was the point. a secret mission, a new name... her second chance. it had been some time since her cover was blown in mexico, since she was tortured and almost killed my cartel for tricking them. many didn’t think she would do undercover again... but those people didn’t know her very well. work obsessed, always wanting to save lives, but also trying to escape her own feelings.
news traveled fast, about her victory. willa had not only done her job, but she also brought a serial killer to justice in hawaii. in the end, his death toll was over 30 over the years. a win for sure, and the fbi wanting to give her the job of a lifetime for it. no news about if she took it was heard, in fact no one had heard from her at all.
THAT WHY MANY WERE SURPRISED ... when she answered the call. the bau was on a job in chicago, things were going bad. at first she planned on saying no, until she heard what trouble had happened. spencer was taken, he was in trouble.. she was in the office and in a jet within the hour. she was filled in on the story. men were dying, while the women they loved were forced to watch. the serial killer, wade evans, had taken reid hostage as a way to try to escape his fate.
willa wasn’t going to let that happen.
she went to the warehouse, a team along with her. the team was outside the warehouse, awaiting backup and ready to storm. a plan was set, and they went inside. willa, on the other hand, went through the back. climbing a back stairwell, she took position in the beams of the ceiling with her gun in her hands. she laid down in the beam, looking in the scope. it was escalating fast, the team finding spencer with the man. ( a gun to his head. ) she didn’t have a shot.
“ hey. ” she whispered into her radio to a random swat member that was right outside the door. “ i need him exactly one inch to the right and i have a shot. i need a distraction. south door, one man. burst through. i just need to spook him a bit. ” and with her win still fresh in minds, that what happened. one swat member burst through the door, wade turning with gun ready to attack. he moved just as willa thought, and with a breath she took the shot. just one, hitting the man in the shoulder. not killing him, but he went down. then, swat rushed him.
