XCOM Internal Memo
"In Vahlen's Name" is not an acceptable reason for any kind of endeavour (scientific or otherwise), especially since she is not a semi-divine entity (alien or otherwise).
"dr-vahlen is now following you."
... Shit.

"Drs. Vahlen and Shen, please report to the Situation Room. Drs. Vahlen and Shen to the Situation Room."
...You should file that request with Dr. Vahlen, though I'm not sure she'll be particularly open to that idea.

Captain, are we bound by the outer space treaty? Specifically the part banning orbital weapons platforms.
While I’m on the subject, the Geneva convention treaty only applies to humans, correct?
I’m… honestly not sure to what level the Orbital Weapons Treaty applies, Doctor. Given the invaders’ current technological superiority, however, it might be wise if we didn’t build any orbital weapons platforms - at the very least, they could be shot down, and at worst they could be turned against us.
As for the Geneva Conventions, they only apply to the powers signatory to them. Since the invaders have most likely not signed on, I doubt the Conventions apply.
Ah, Captain, I am glad to see you on here as well. You have quite an interesting journal here, I will admit. I was worried about possible breaches in security, but I have not seen anything that might compromise us at all. (However, that post about “Useless Information” did give me some ideas… I hope the commander hasn't sold off that Alien Entertainment Device yet.) But to business, could you send Strike-One down to the Research bay? There is a floater loose, and we can't get it down.
An escaped Floater. This I need like a hole in the head.
…Dr Vahlen, you should know that I value operational security - though I will admit that maintaining it in the face of the current threat can be difficult, especially given the abilities demonstrated by some of the hostiles that our people have encountered; need I remind you of what happened to Delta Team?
That being said, please tell me you had the alien weaponry we recovered under lock and key. I don’t want to send Strike-One in to recapture the escaped Floater only to be met with a face full of plasma.
Speaking of which, just how did the damn thing manage to escape the containment facility?
