Do you think Eve ever feels like a changeling?

I mean she basically replaced her parents's baby and they don't even know it. Doesn't she feel like she stole some other person's life, while she also got robbed of hers.

Even her name wasn't really meant for her, it was meant for the baby who never made it.

I feel like this would make her think of herself as even more alien. Her constant alienation by her parents because of her powers clearly isn't helping and now this. Girl gotta have issues.

Do you think she ever wanted to tell them the truth? Especially in the heat of the moment when her parents pissed her off. Did she never get the urge to say something along the lines of_"you can't treat me this way, I'm not even your real daughter!" Type of thing.

Or maybe she wants them to know simply because of the guilty conscience/it's the right thing to do_ they deserve to know the truth, but she's too afraid of losing another family even if they suck.

Or maybe she doesn't want to hurt them because she knows what it means to lose a family_a possibility of what could have been, and the fact that even if she told them, they'd be able to do absolutely nothing but to come to terms with the reality of this situation. It would cause nothing but pain to both parties because neither of them can bring back what has been lost.

And I'm not so sure they could move forward from that point on in a way that would allow them to keep this parent-child relationship going. Just look at how strained it already is.

The truth is that her parents deserve to know that their daughter is dead and they deserve to mourn her properly, but they also need to understand that Eve is also their daughter(they literally raised her), however, I doubt they would come to that realisation without causing tremendous harm(emotional) to themselves and their daughter.

So she chooses not to say anything, afraid for herself and her adoption parents.

Eve is at her core a deeply caring person who wants to help people in any way she can. She's a hero. Lying like this would not be great for her mental health.

Fear of rejection and of causing harm, anger, shame, guilt, alienation every single day. Stewing in that unbearable atmosphere and headspace couldn't have been easy. No wonder she wanted to get away and than the writers made her go back to that cause of plot reasons!

Children and people deserve to be loved by their families and parents deserve to grieve their lost children.

And you know at the end of the day it's not Eve's fault, it'll never be. What happened to her was completely out of her control.(and I will never blame her for choosing to withhold the information) and I think she knows this but that wouldn't really stop this issue or feeling of uncertainty to resurface now would it.

Dr. Brandyworth swaps with Debbie (They're both the only normal 1s of their families)

Cecil swaps with Kregg (Cecil's the most fitting 1 I could think of that matches with the final 2)

Radcliffe swaps with Conquest (They're both blind in 1 eye elders who used to be great but lost their way in their later years leading to their being killed by a member of the next generation)

Steven Erickson swaps with Thragg (They're both Arch Nemeses in part due to killing multiple family members)
