Meet the Feebles Incorrect Quotes #18

(A red curtain slowly rises as circling spotlights spun)

Uyen: (pops up) Welcome to the all new “Fabulous Feebles Variety Hour!” Are you ready to see something incredible? (looks around as the music slows down) Well too bad, you’re gonna see it anyway! For today’s show, we have quite the performance! (snaps her fingers to move the scenery around until she inadvertently gets to a room where Mary was sleeping) Whoops, wrong room! (snaps her fingers again until she gets to a stage setting where Borax was seen sitting around until he saw the young gopher)

Borax: (confused gibberish)

Uyen: Now then, ladies and gentlemen, Borax here is gonna perform something you’ve never seen before! (ties the little green alien up to a spinning target and then pulls out a bunch of assorted throwing knives)

Borax: (protesting gibberish)

(As soon as Uyen throws the first knife, the camera cuts off to “Please Stand By”, Borax can be heard screaming loudly in Zach Hadel’s voice)

(The camera turns on again as we see Borax riddled with knives and absolutely traumatized and Uyen smiling)

Uyen: Well, I think we both had something to learn from that experience.

(Cuts to the group in the audience with mixed reactions; Romio, Rahune, Opal and Dennis were clapping, Gammarie and Marcella were concerned for Uyen, Fuyuko, Harry, Sebastian, Elowen and Dr. Quack were smiling at the performance, Mindy and Wynyard were dozing off)

Dennis and Opal: (in unison) This is the best day of my life!

(Everyone turns towards the two)

Hiiiii! How does it feel to know that your artwork is immortalized in a game? I remember when i played Yooka-Replaylee and i saw your piece in the fan art gallery, i thought it was so cool that i had actually reblogged that piece already. It was cool to realize that people who don't follow you or use social media, would still be able to see the piece you made out of simple passion for the game. Hope your evening is going nicely! ♡

Hi there! It feels just wonderful to be a part of the Yooka-Laylee universe! Of course, I also love when folks find my art in the game by surprise and say "Hey, I know them!"

Playtonic has had two prior art contests that I submitted, runnered-up, but ultimately did not win. I really tried to lock-in for the Replaylee one, but I think the biggest factor was simply that my art had improved a lot over the years! Felt good to have that affirmed, in a way 🤭

DUCKVEMBER DAY 10 & 11: Wild and Mechanical Duck

I think you have to be considered a liiiittle unhinged if you amputated both of your legs for funzies, ya know?

And while we're on the subject of birds, spare a thought for Doctor Quack-

This guy couldn't have had it easy. He went from being Royal Physician to becoming the sole doctor of a refugee camp, and for the next ten years had to attend to the medical needs of multiple differing species with differing needs. Babies delivered? He has to do it. Eggs need incubating? Also him. Mammals, birds, reptiles? Gotta attend to all of them. And if that isn't bad enough, he has to do all of this while working with limited supplies and medical equipment, most of which is what can be scavenged out of Robotropolis and jury-rigged into being functional.

How many nights do you think he stayed up, wondering if the machinery works correctly, if the medicine will hold out, if the health of the villagers will be good enough to prevent serious emergency? Was he around when Julayla fell sick? Did he feel responsible when she died? How much guilt do you think he has, for those he could not save? And that's without getting into becoming a father, bringing a brood of ducklings into a world where the future seems so bleak...

... and all the while having to deal with one Sonic T. Hedgehog. Whether as a little kid or a teenager, you just KNOW at least one of the doc's ulcers can be traced to him. In the Knothole Days he probably kept a "_ Days Without Sonic Nonsense" poster somewhere.
