I'm gonna tell you guys about something I'm really excited about and am considering because I really just want to TELL SOMEONE!
So right now I'm majoring in Cell/Molecular Biology for my Undergrad degree, and I haven't been sure whether I wanted to go into Med school or Grad school, or even PA school after Undergrad, but my University just sent out emails about a Peace corp information session next Tuesday, and I've been looking up more information about it, and WOW is it cool.
Apparently if you're involved in an active peace corp graduate school, they'll pay for your Master's degree, you'll spend the first two semesters at the school, the third semester studying abroad, and the fourth semester back at school. That's awesome in itself, because hey, two years of free school AND studying abroad volunteer opportunities, BUT my university has a graduate school, WHICH IS compatible with the Peace corp, and its Masters is in Energy Conservation/Renewable energy, which is compatible with my Cell/Molecular Bio Undergrad degree.
So.. I could be a Peace corp volunteer, get a free Masters in Energy conservation, study abroad for a whole semester for free, and then go onto earn my PhD?
I dunno, but I'm excited. :)
