I have an excessive amount of headcanons for the Cultivator in my AU, I think I did this because I felt that they're literally only a plot device and that's it, I get it we're not supposed to know much about them but c'mon chucklefish.

personally i really dont mind the lack of info on cultivator because it does come up with some interesting theories and along with the ancients we’re not given a ton of information because our job is to piece together what information we have into what happens/has happened to them.

plus part of the reason is that they’re only a plot device is.. because they are. they aren’t really an npc themselves but a piece of the lore and a biblical entity. the cultivator is an ancient force of balance.

i get where you’re coming from, though. starbound writing is.... not very good.

The cultivator was secretly a huge disaster. It didn’t always think things through and that’s probably one of the reasons it lost to the Ruin. No one is perfect. Not even peace loving gods.

Along with the Cultivator, Ancients had a larger leg to body ratio than humans, with most Ancients having longer legs and arms than torsos, and were very fast on foot.

Tying into the last one I sent, the Cultivator, if they were interested, would be a great martial artist, due to having abnormally fast reflexes, for their race.
