The Cure for Anything (007)
"the cure for anything is salt water--sweat, tears, or the SEA" - Isak Dinesen
I roll down my window when we reach the bridge. It's an old tradition that usually ends with my sticking my head out as far as my driving father will allow. But I can barely contain myself from jumping out of the car and over the side of this cement Goliath that arches over blue-grey water swirling through marshes. Somehow even the air smells better--salty, muggy, clinging desperately to my skin. A shrimping boat passes underneath us, nets flying through the air, and I wave vigorously at the captain walking around the deck. I catch a brief glimpse of his return before he's suddenly blocked by a green wall of palm trees. Home at last.
