Short Magi drabbles 01: Snowed in and Spilt Coffee
I decided to do this writing challenge for my favorite Magi characters...they are numbered starting from 9 because I got this from someone on dA who said that this was part 2 of a writing exercise. I have to find part 1 later.
Oh it will be alternate universe for obvious reasons...and each situation is independent from the others.
9. Your character is about to leave the house in the morning when they realize that they are snowed in.
In this one, Cassim and Alibaba are trapped together...
Cassim: Cassim had his clothes on and was going to go do whatever it is he does on Saturday mornings. He was at the he was at the door when he noticed the window. There was only a bit of light coming in at the top. The rest of the view was snow. Cassim shrugs as he walks over to the couch and plops down. "Whatever I'll just smoke and watch cartoons."
Alibaba (Cassim and Alibaba are roomates in a modern setting):
Alibaba woke up in his bed room and noticed it was a bit dark. He opened up the blinds to let in the morning sun. Instead of that, he was instead greeted with snow...snow compiled together, reaching heights taller than he was.
"Cassim! We're snowed in!"
"I know."
Alibaba thought to himself.
I'm trapped here...alone and Cassim is in the other room...I wonder what we could do.
Alibaba sat down next to Cassim as he watched something he never heard of. Suddenly Cassim strikes up a conversation.
"We've both been so busy these days that we hardly spend any time together like this."
"Yea!" Alibaba agrees as he rubs his head.
"It's funny how something as annoying as this could be a good advantage."
Alibaba focused on the moving pictures and the sounds of the voices he wasn't listening to. "What do you mean by that."
Alibaba looked over and noticed that Cassim was closer. Much closer. He was close enough to see the details of the colors of Cassim's red tinted eyes. This made Alibaba nervous, but it was the good kind of nervous. Is something going to happen?
Indeed, something was. Cassim leaned, placing a hand on Alibaba's thigh. Hand moving somewhere sensitive, lips about to kiss. Closer and closer until...
"Alibaba?" Cassim's voice broke through Alibaba's daydream.
"...huh?" Alibaba asked as he looked towards Cassim who sat at the other end of the couch.
"I was asking you a question."
"Sorry..."
"Hey, what were thinking about, anyway? Your face is so red. Haha..."
"Nothing! No it's not! Shut up!"
Mor:
Once realizing that she was trapped, Mor was not sure what she should do. After standing around for a couple minutes she kicked the air numerous times, trying to make sure that she didn't break anything. After minutes of this she sighed and sat down.
"Its boring being alone."
Sinbad:
Sinbad didn't freak out when he realized that he was trapped in his home...even if it was snowing. Even if that seemed unnatural to him.
He had food, water, alcohol for the night. He was so busy working so hard lately that he was glad he could take a break.
"And Ja'far can't nag me about sitting around doing nothing...I am trapped at home what am I going to do It's not like I bring work home."
Sinbad turned around and was scared out of his socks...directly behind him was a pale young man with light features, carrying a stack of paper, wearing a disproving glare.
"Ja'far?"
"Think again, Sin," Ja'far said in a monotone voice, "I and all of your work are trapped with you as well."
Sinbad threw his arms up, "I don't even know..."
10. Another character spills warm coffee all over your character's shirt, then immediately begins apologizing.
Cassim (modern setting):
Alibabawas babbling countless "sorry"s over and over...
"I don't even know how that happened..."
Cassim sighed as he took his shirt off, "Telling me sorry over and over doesn't help. If you're really sorry, you should lick it off to make it feel better, Alibaba."
"Whaat?" Alibaba turned red, "N-no I shouldn't have to lick you for you to feel better!"
"Hm?" Cassim smiled, "Were you day dreaming about me again?"
"No. No I wasn't!" Alibaba pointed at him accusingly, "That wasn't in my head, you really did said that!"
"Nope." But in reality he did.
(I couldn't resist...)
Alibaba (original setting):
"I'm so sorry!" Zaynab said to Alibaba as she tried her best to help clean the mess.
"It's fine, I'll just throw something else on..." Alibaba said this as walked off towards his quarters. After he closed the door he was about to change when he noticed a presence behind him.
He turned his head and saw Cassim there.
Alibaba just stared for a second then asked if Cassim could give him some privacy.
From the outside of Alibaba's room the other troupe could hear Alibaba yell,
"NO! You can't watch me change, Cassim!"
(I'm just gonna keep putting those two in these situations)
Judal:
"...My, so clumsy."
(I can never think of anything with Judal, but I wish I could because he is such an interesting character...)
