Greg looked at Abel taking his time to consider his answer. He knew where Lucille was, yes. And he knew why she was there, as well as - why Abel was searching for the girl. Of course the mob prince he was kept him from showing any sign of agitation. Greg could read between the lines though. And he suspected Abel was scared Lucille had run away again.
"I think she's at the attic. Go and check for yourself." He added lightly hoping the boy will treat that suggestion as just a gentle push in the right direction.
Lucille indeed was in the dimly lit space of the attic. Like in every proper mansion there was the area that was left mostly to discard old boxes of stuff that could be useful in a decade or two. Or with things that were better left forgotten.
The blonde was sitting on the floor next to a vinyl player with a cardboard cover for the vinyl disc that was already placed beneath the needle. She didn't push the button yet. She just was staring at the faded out title on the cover like it was a long fairytale.
On the thick carpets spread on the attic's floor (they didn't match the house aesthetics at some point and ended here) Abel's steps were silent. Only when he got closer she caught him in the corner of her sight and twitched surprised.
"Oh, didn't hear you!" She said awkwardly. Ever since he moved in she didn't feel like this was her house anymore. She was feeling lost even before but now it was getting more dire with the complications piling up on her way. "Greg told you I'm here?" She guessed. "He knows I come here every year." He knew surprisingly many things about how it all worked. Not only about her she suspected. "It's the anniversary of when my mom left." Lucille explained softly looking back to the cover.
Sitting with Thanos in the cold would be so nice. Just nestled against his chest on his thigh.
Laying in bed with him in the winter, no clothes in the way and him scooting forward to lay his cock between his partner's thighs and dozing back off to sleep.
Aka Mun’s been up since like 4am so have some murder rambly nonsense.
It’s too late to be out now, nothing but stragglers and the unwanted at this time of night. And that’s what you are, isn’t it? Just another unwanted clinging to the streets of the city?
Oh, no! Don’t you even think about crying out now! There’s no one to hear you! Not for miles and miles and even if they could, would they care? Would anyone care enough to stop this? For you?
There we go now, all nice and quiet-like, that’s what we want. Ain’t nobody be hearing ya cries but that don’t mean I want be hearing them none either. Ya should just accept ya fate my brother, it’s almost upon you ya know?
No, no, no! I said none of that now! Don’t wanna hear any of your screaming! Just shut up! You’re gonna be a most motherfuckin bitchtits tribute ya know?
Not that I should be bothering with how much ya struggling but then there wouldn’t be as much fun would there? It’s always so fuckin funny how ya’ll think ya deserve ta struggle ta survive after what you’ve done.
Oh, you think I don’t know about that? You thought ya got away with ya hands clean? Honk honk! I don’t think I’ve ever heard something more hilarious brother! Did ya really think there was nobody that wasn’t gonna come up and make ya deal with what ya did?
Ya did?
Fuckin moron you is.
Don’t you be worrying though, it’ll be over soon, won’t have to worry your pretty little head none about it.
But…! How should we do this?
I could sink my claws into ya belly, rend ya apart till all your insides paint ya outsides? Would ya like that?
Or… I could go straight for ya pumper, pull it out of ya and crush it in my hands?
Or mayhaps I could bite… tip your head back until I’ve got your throat right there and just tear it out of you. Watch you drown on your own blood?
Or I could just wrap mine hands around your neck, press and crush until there’s no life in you anymore?
Thank you for sending and it is done :D Under the cut :D
8 “I care aboutyou. I’ve always cared about you.”
21 “I wish I didn’thave these feelings, but I do.”
4 “You’re soperfect. And I’m so fucking lucky.”
They all knewwhat it looked like when one of them got possessed, and so they knewimmediately what had happened when Holtzmann flinched during the bust, her eyesbriefly widening before a malicious smile curled her lips.
“Okay, theanti-possession-belt clearly doesn’t work”, Erin observed, lowering her protongun, “we better note that down. Get out of Holtzmann you coward!”
“But this bodyis so nice”, the ghost replied in Holtzmann’s voice, evil smile widening, “andthe brain! Wow, Dr Holtzmann is really smart. Impressive. There’s manyinteresting things in here, you know that? Dr Gilbert, did you know that she’smadly in love with you? Aw, she didn’t want me to say that. Sorry.”
The ghost laughed, then the smile vanished from one second to the next and the ghost usedHoltzmann’s body to swing her proton gun and aim it at the group; they all doveout of the way and for cover, and Erin told herself that she could worry aboutwhat the ghost had just revealed later as she yanked one of the anti-possessiongrenades from her belt.
The grenadeswere somewhat dangerous, but unlike the belts, they had been shown to work, andErin mentally apologized for possible harm she might do before she pulled the pinand threw it.
They heard the ghosthowl, followed by a low thump asHoltzmann slumped to her knees, the possession having taken the quite the tollon her; and before the ghost had the chance to possess her again, Abby andPatty fired, ensnaring it in the proton streams.
It howled again, and struggled, but couldn’t break free; Holtzmann ignored how drained she feltto yank the trap from her pack and toss it beneath the ghost, and a short whilelater, it was gone, another bust successfully finished for this team.
As Erin saw thelook on Holtzmann’s face though, and noticed how the engineer avoided her eyes, she realized that this time, there wouldn’t be any celebrations following theirsuccess.
“We should talk”,Erin said quite a bit later, back at the firehouse; Abby and Patty hadretreated, giving them the chance to do what the physicist just had suggestedin privacy, Abby having strictly told Erin to call in case anything badhappened, and Patty having given Holtzmann the same instructions.
“I guess so”,Holtzmann gave back, nervously toying with her screwdriver, “but that talk won’tbe long, will it. I didn’t want you to find out like that, you know. Or at all.Cause I knew it would get awkward.”
“Holtz”, Erin started, but the engineer shook her head, and she fell silent again, sensing thatHoltzmann had more to say; the blonde took in a slow, controlled breath, thencontinued, yet again finding it hard to look Erin in the eye as she talked.
“I wish I didn’thave these feelings, but I do”, she let Erin know, having to swallow heavilybefore she could continue, “and I tried to stop it, but I can’t. So I decidedyou’d never know, so things wouldn’t get awkward. Cause I know you don’t feelthat way for me.”
“I care aboutyou”, Erin gave back, momentarily feeling like reaching out and grasping herhand, then ignoring the urge, telling herself the touch might not be welcome inthis very moment, “I’ve always cared about you, Holtz.”
Holtzmann lookedup at her again at last, and opened her mouth to respond, but this time, Erin wasthe one to stop her with a shake of her head, taking in a deep breath of herown now, not breaking eye contact with the engineer though as she continued.
“I’ve alwayscared about you”, she repeated, “but lately, this… feeling has been changing. Growing.I wasn’t sure what to do about it, if I should do anything about it or if I shouldjust ignore it, but after what that ghost said today…”
She took inanother deep breath, then did reach out after all to grasp Holtzmann’s hand; theengineer didn’t pull back, and the feeling of her fingers curling around Erin’sgave her the courage to say what she wanted to say.
“I have a crushon you”, she let Holtzmann know, “and I’d really like to kiss you right now.”
In response,Holtzmann pulled her closer, and kissed her, and Erin kissed her back at once, letting go of her hand so she could wrap both arms around her; the kissdeepened, and she heard Holtzmann let out a low groan, her blood boiling at thesound from one second to the next.
She pressedherself closer against the engineer, then swiftly turned her so that she waswith her back to the workbench, and surprised her by lifting her up, using strengthshe had built up during busting ghosts; pulling back from the kiss, Erin smiledat Holtzmann, who now sat on the workbench, her smile widening when Holtzmannwrapped both legs around her waist and pulled her closer.
“I think we havebeen pining for each other long enough”, Erin told her, moving her hands to herback and beneath her shirt, earning a visible shudder when she caressed thebare skin there, “so I wouldn’t mind doing more than just kiss, you know.”
“You’re soperfect”, Holtzmann gave back, making her blush, “and I’m so fucking lucky.”
“Language”, Erinstill took the time to say, then kissed her again, simultaneously pushing hershirt up, and a short while later, all bad thoughts Holtzmann had had aboutwhat the ghost had done were forgotten and replaced by much nicer ones.
There’s an unvoiced question in the way Alec’s eyes skim over to the door of his office one more time, tired and almost unseeing already, before he steps away from the desk and closer into Magnus’ space.
A question he finds answered by a slow blink of Magnus’ lashes once again: a gentle assurance; a thousand-fold promise once more renewed.
And so Alec’s frame just sags, shoulders drooping as he turns his back on the door and sinks his chin unto Magnus’ shoulder. He allows his eyes to fall closed and all alert and vigilance to slip from his stance for now, for a drawn out private moment. Lets his body be held up only by the way his mouth and nose caress along the side of his boyfriend’s neck, his scent and presence and the way his own fingers curl into the sides of Magnus’ jacket.
Magnus just stands, his eyes on the door for now, senses and magic spreading out so much farther, because he can let Alec have this.
He's up early tilling the land, feeding animals, checking his crops. Handles his tools like weapons and spends hours in the sun. When he comes inside his shirt is plastered to him with sweat, chest heaving after moving or lifting an immensely heavy object.

It had beenquite a while since Erin had felt nervous about taking someone home with her.
The fact it wasHoltzmann she was taking home, for the first time since they had starteddating, didn’t make it easier; she should have felt relaxed and confident, thiswas how Holtzmann usually made her feel, simply by being around her and withthe way she looked at her, but she couldn’t help herself, fingers fidgetingnervously when she dug out her keys to unlock the door.
“Hey”, Holtzmannpicked up on her nervousness, not really surprising her – many people wouldn’thave thought so, but Holtzmann could be good at reading people, and was exceptionallygood at reading her, “no need to feel nervous. We’ll do exactly what you wantto do and what you’re comfortable with, alright?”
“It’s not that”,Erin gave back with a shake of her head; Holtzmann looked curious, but didn’task, knowing that Erin would tell her once she was ready, and that pushing andprodding would lead nowhere.
She tried herbest to help the physicist relax instead, at first on the couch where theystarted innocently enough with snuggles; the snuggles soon turned into amake-out session, and not long after, Erin suggested moving things to thebedroom, Holtzmann nodding eagerly at once.
They did move tothe bedroom, and kissed some more there; Erin was the one to make the firstmove, by tugging at Holtzmann’s shirt, and not long after that, they were bothnaked, the engineer’s eyes glazing over as she took in her girlfriend’s nudeform, Erin blushing visibly under her rather intense, heated gaze.
“God”, Holtzmannmumbled, reaching out slowly and hesitatingly, as if she was afraid Erin mightvanish once she’d touch her, “you’re so beautiful.”
Erin blusheddeeper at that, but her fingers twitched in a familiar way, and beforeHoltzmann could say something else, she spoke up, suddenly finding it hard tolook the engineer in the eye, her gaze dropping down to the blanket she sat on.
“You reallythink so?” she inquired, Holtzmann nodding enthusiastically, “that’s… what I wasworried about, you know. That… I’m not good enough. You’re ten years youngerthan me and fit and pretty and I…
“You’rebeautiful”, Holtzmann finished for her when she trailed off, nothing butadmiration in her eyes and voice, “you’re my beautiful, brilliant, badassGhostbusting physicist. Don’t ever feel like you’re not good enough.”
Erin pulled herclose in response, and kissed her deeply, feeling the engineer shudder when herhands came to rest on her bare back; she didn’t make a move to touch her too, though, and so, after a while, Erin took hold of one of her hands and gentlyguided it to her breast, the engineer taking in a sharp breath as she felt thewarm, soft skin beneath her palm, pulling back from the kiss with her eyesglazed over yet again.
“Are you sure”,she still brought out, and the tremble in her voice was certainly not caused byany discomfort, “once we start, I might not be able to stop.”
Erin let onehand glide down her back, until she reached her buttocks, and gave a firmsqueeze, earning a squeak from the blonde; she smiled at the noise, then leanedcloser so she could whisper into Holtzmann’s ear, her warm breath on thesensitive skin there only adding to Holtzmann’s arousal, along with the few,but meaningful words the physicist was saying.
9. “Don’t smile atme like that. You know it drives me crazy.”
Erin has noticedHoltzmann’s dimples already back at Higgins, when the engineer has greeted herwith a cheesy pick-up line.
They’re cute, she’s already thought so back then, not that she would ever have admitted it,not to herself and certainly not to anyone else; she’s needed time to getthere, and Holtzmann has given her that time, has given her all the time in theworld.
Now they aredating, and she’s told Holtzmann how cute her dimples are, without thinking ofpossible consequences this compliment might have.
She severelyregrets this now, because Holtzmann knows what her smile can do Erin oncethings have reached a certain point, and she makes very good use of thatknowledge.
She does soright now, too, lifting her head from between Erin’s legs and beaming at her,and Erin groans as she forces herself to raise her head so she can give theengineer a stern look.
“Don’t smile atme like that”, she says, and Holtzmann’s grin only grows bigger and cheekierand somehow even more dimpled, oh my God, “you know it drives me crazy.”
“And here I thoughtmy fingers and tongue were doing the trick”, Holtzmann says light-heartedly,and Erin groans again; then Holtzmann lowers her head again, and goes back towhat she has been doing before, and for a while, Erin forgets everything.
When they snuggleafterwards, and Holtzmann smiles at her, she feels more satisfied and happierthan she’s ever been.
