I sat on my bed with my knees pressed against my chest, looking at the grey sweater that sat across from me, laying on my chair. Unsure of what to do, giving it back to Dean and never talking again, not talking about the sweater and waiting for him to ask or just straight up talk to him.
“Hey Rey we’re gonna be late to class,” Draco mumbled barging into the room. “Bloody hell you're not even dressed, what are you doing?” his eyes landed from me, bouncing onto the sweater. “Oh it’s been a week, we have better things to worry about then this stupid sweater,”
I stood up from my bed and grabbed my rob and took the apple from Draco hand. “The apple, it was the apple that was hexed for your information Draco, someone's hexed my apple I ate, because it was the only thing I ate that day,” In my head I sounded crazy but I felt excited and smart. I walked out of my room with my books, Draco following behind me.
“The apple?” He paused for a second. “Makes sense, but it wasn’t Crabbe or Goyle, their brains are as empty as a stick,” I chuckled opening the common room door.
“Draco!” Pansy Parkinson shouted as we came face to face, she stood at the top of the stairs as I stood at the bottom. “Your gonna be late for class, what are you thinking?” She asked prancing down, walking right passed me, I slipping around looking at the pair.
“Hey Pansy walk with us,” Draco winked tossing his arm over Pansys shoulder, I stood on the other side of him. “I need to learn a hex quickly, I wanna get longbottom back for laughing at me in potions, you got anything that?”
I quickly caught onto Draco plan but stayed quiet.
“Yeah yeah actually I do, what has longbottom done this time, i’ve heard some nasty rumors about his family,” Pansy cackled making me roll my eyes at her.
“I’ll find you later Pansy, thank you, see you in class, Rey and I just got to talk,” Draco's arm went from Pansy to me, dragging both of us into the completely wrong direction.
“I can’t believe Pansy would think of hexing me, she’s totally jealous,” I rolled my eyes once more leaning against Draco as we walked.
“We’re getting her back, no one hexes my best friend and gets away from it,” He paused for a moment taking a breath. “Anyways, Pansy isn’t my type, she’s to stuck up and bitchy for my liking,”
“Yeah I can tell,” I chuckled forgetting about class and just walking down the halls with Draco, without a care in the world.
“Oi Rey can we talk!” Dean Thomas, the boy that lived in my head almost rent free shouted, not sure how fast I turned around to look at him but Draco sured noticed.
“Draco i’ll find you later in class okay,” I gave him a small smile, his voice showing annoyance but I shook my head and he walked away without saying anything which was a first. “Hi Dean,” I nervously said rubbing my neck.
“How are you feeling? Pomfrey said someones hexed you pretty badly,” Dean asked, surprising me in many ways.
“Yeah i’m doing fine, Pansy had hexed the apple I was eating,” I shrugged my shoulders not even caring. “If I knew I was gonna see you today I would have brought you sweater back,” I rubbed the back of my neck a bit more, feeling nervous.
“Keep it, I have tons,” Dean paused with a smile on his face. “I could walk you to class if you’d like, since there's a killer on the loose no one should be walking alone,”
I smiled knowing what Dean was doing and completely in love with it. “I would love that,” Dean grabbed my bag before I could and swung it over his shoulder. “I missed you,”
“I missed you too Reyna,” Dean whispered tossing his arm over my shoulder and pulling me in closer to him. As we walked, the both of us had gotten looked, a gryffindor and Slytherin walking around, hand over another and looking cheerful was not a common thing in this school. But Dean didn’t seem to care and neither did I.
“I’ll see you in next class, potions with snape, your favorite,” Dean teased moving his arm off me. “See you later,” I watched the curly haired boy walk away, just watching him with a grin on my face.
“I have never seen you smile like that before,” Draco mumbled grabbing my colar and dragging me in class. “You look like a fool,”
“Shut it Malfoy,” I snapped sitting down in my seat, ready to see with McGonagall had for us today, “Your the one who looks like a fool,”
“Shut it you two,” McGonagall snapped turning around. “All you two do is bicker whenever you walk into my class, enough, open your books,” Ever book in the room opened up to a certain page.
“What are we doing today?” Cedric Diggory asked, looking at McGonagall then down at her book. “Awesome turning things into pigs,”
“You’re always halfway there,” Draco whispered to me, I looked at him shoving him a little two hard, before he could fall out of his chair his arm grabbed my wrist and we both fell to the ground.
“Detention, the both of you,” Mcgonagall yelled walking over to the two of us that laid on the floor. “I expect to see the both of you tonight,”
I turned my head over to Draco, shaking my head, shoving him again and helping myself up, for the rest of the class I stayed silent, the both of us did, doing our work and not talking to each other.
“Have a good day everyone,” Everyone gathered out of the classroom, Draco and I the last ones walking out at the same time. “See you both tonight,” I rolled my eyes.
“That was your fault,” Draco mumbled hitting my shoulder.
“You shouldn’t have called me a pig,”
“Pig,”
“Stupid,”
“Asshole,”
“This is why we’re friends,” I let out a low life turning to Draco. “Thanks for the detention,”
“Anytime Rey,” Draco wrapped his arms around me and we made up on the stop, like we normally do, everytime something happened, we could never stay mad at eachother.
“You two gonna show up to my class today?” Draco and I both turned around and looked at Professor Lupin who stood in the hallway behind us, with his arms class looking unamused. “Haven’t seen you two for a while, good to know you both are alive,”
“Hello professor,” I said with a smile. “Unsure, we haven’t decided yet,” Draco chuckled at my words leaning against me.
“Unless you two want double detention, i’ll see you in class after lunch,” Before Draco and I could protest Professor Lupin turned the corner.
“Double detention, who does he think he his,” Draco mumbled turning around, connecting my arm and bringing me with me. “My father will here about this,”
I smiled shaking my head. “Your father hears about everything, come on, I wanna get potions over with,”
Draco and I walked down the dungeon stairs happly, forgetting about Professor Lupin and walking into potions, our smile fading away with the sight of Professor Snape sitting at his desk.
“Open your pages to 342,” Snape said with no tone in his face, his eyes pinne at Draco and I who fumbled into the class. “You both better have a good excuse on why you’re late,”
I looked at Draco and then back at Snape. “Professor Lupin was talking to us, sorry won’t happen again,” I raised my hands in the air making a face and sitting down, Snape was about to say something, leaning up in his chair but leaned back down.
“Geez, your really going for a third detention now Rey,” Draco snickered making me let out a low laugh as we opened our books, reading about the potion we were going to be brewing that day.
