Hello everyone,

I haven't been particularly active on this blog, and it is no surprise why. With JKR's growing fascist leanings, one cannot in good conscience espouse her creations. But I have come here with a different purpose.

In order to make sense of the world we are now living in, I have started writing. Nothing too fancy, too literary, just journaling my life and the world around me. Because history needs to be recorded before people start to erase it.

i normally dont post politics here and idk if theres any fellow canadians in my follower list, but if there is I just wanna state myself as someone who's there to talk if they ever need... to like shoot the shit or just hopefully alleviate some anxiety through this time.

For people in the states/europe/rest of the world, a simple news search can inform what's going down. But to personally relay it-

a lot of our business's have already barred people using american money- changed their signage to preach the "elbows up!" slogan which is like our battle cry or some shit now

we're talking of fucking guerilla warfare if they try to take us... which seems like, unbelievable right? yeah thing is were not saying it lightly

people are giving others shit for buying american products- like literally arguing over it

the attitude towards the american people- not just their government- is at an all time low... it infested hockey last month. We boo'd the american anthem.... That may sound silly to view as important, but holy shit is that ever a bad fucking sign.

This wasn't even in the cards, for the most part. We know our Great Lakes and other resources have been looked at as candy to them for years, but no one was ever so wildly fucking stupid to say that we should be theirs. Were not. We are like, so very fucking not. Never were- if they wanna go off the fucking war of 1812, Oregon Dispute and Revolutionary war, we could 10000% say the same.

Like yeah, the "president" is an idiot, he always says stupid shit, but tariffs and those words are were this allll starts. And his people are our friends, our family...

If this reaches any Americans, know the majority of us are still cool with you. We know he doesn't speak for all of you, and I've seen the solidarity for us up here. I ask to keep preaching that solidarity, because if it was in the reverse we would do the exact same for you.

The online community of systems could maybe stop harassing app developers to the point they discontinue the tools used for accessibility & front / info tracking

Like you’re allowed to be upset about Simply Plural shutting down w/o going out of your way to target 1.) the developer of the app you want to keep existing & 2.) some of the only other accessibility sources available (that’s even remotely similar to SP)

I promise you that activism isn’t just saying mean things to people you’re upset with and expecting to get your way because of it. That’s such an incredibly childish way to behave & view everything
