"Hello, my love." Dirk is standing in the middle of a large room, the roof domed above them. Dirk twirls the rapier in his hands, watching the thin blade glint in the bright light. "I've been waiting for you."
He twitches, a shake of his head, and he shrugs it off, settling into a guard stance. "We'll make--" He faulters again, the sword clattering to the ground as Dirk stumbles back like he'd been slapped. "No, I can't fight him," he says to someone that's not there. He looks up, anger in his eyes.
"You won't make me hurt him!"
