i look for signs of you even when your not there

i look for you in the 'liked by' posts on instagram

i look for you in the online status on discord

i look for you in the random people i see at the store

i look for you in the interests you like

i look for you in past conversations of you being my friend

i look for you to find signs that you will stay, that you are not fleeting, or a blink in my life.

Eventually there will come a time where I dont actively search for you, because I will know the comfort of not needing signs. That this seperation is not forever, and knowing you want to be here too. That you will stay when the novelty ends.
