          in  the  early  hours  of  dawn , where  the  world  remains  cast  in  shadows  of  surreal  gray , and  the  sky  feels  overcast , despite  the  first  effervescent  glow  over  the  eastern  horizon , the  male  stands  in  the  middle  of  an  empty  street  to  take  a  picture  of  the  sleeping  city  before  he  continues  on  his  travels .   a  shadow  weaves  between  his  road  worn  boots , taking  a  feline  shape  in  its  eagerness  to  continue  on .   it  pauses , as  if  sensing  the  approach  of  another ; as  the  woman  obscures  kaede’s  photo  unknowingly , the  wraith  walks  into  his  leg , as  if  to rub  its  head  against  him , only  to  disappear  instead .   most  people , he’s  found , don’t  notice  the  wraith   ( and  he , for  a  time , assumed  himself  to  be  mad )   and  he  doesn’t  try  to  explain  as  he  instead  hurries  to  ask  the  woman ,   “ good  morning !   you  accidentally  got  in  my  picture  and  i  was  wondering  if  i could  keep it ?   it’s  not  for  anything  weird , i  promise ! ”

CENTIPEDES   .   the   hungriest   scum   ,   writhing   &   .   waiting  &  .   crawling  up   the   side   of   his   face   ,   draped   over   his   ear   .   a   finger   reaches   out   to   caress   it   ,   &   .   like   a   babe   to   its   mother   it   fondles   him   in   kind   .   he   is   their   entire   world   .   “   it’s   a   centipede   .   they   like   me   .   “

“ y’know, i seriously never noticed it but, like, you .. you kinda have like ... lizard lookin’ eyes? is that just me?? are you a lizard people?? it’s okay, you can tell me because i won’t tell anyone, i really promise!!  one sec, i’m googlin’ this though ... ”  personally, he’s never gotten that close to a lizard before--only in the petco and through the glass and he normally looks at the geckos--but, her eyes are seriously pretty to him, and he’s just curious!!  there’s just something really cool about torryn that he just can’t place why...

maybe it’s her luscious snowy locks. or just her danger-edged aura that he, for some reason, just can’t pick up.

❛❛ NOT EVERY OPENING IS MEANT TO BE TAKEN  .  there are other ways to get what you want without being  …  so crude  . ❜❜     era is obviously displeased  ,  foot tapping against cold stone  .  even with these boorish methods  ,  they’d accomplished what they’d come here to do  .  it just didn’t feel right  ;  felt forceful and too uncouth for the dragonling’s tastes  .  they could have just asked and went from there         if asking didn’t favor them any results  ,  then of course  ,  action would need to be taken in order to complete their task  .

                                         he   listens   to   the  question   ,   devoid   of   anything   resembling   emotion   ,   and   his   lips   part   ,   as   if   to   answer   with   the   FIRST   THOUGHT   that   comes   to   mind   ,   before   they   join   once   more   to   form   a   thoughtful   seam   .   there’s   something   difficult   about   meeting   the   other’s   gaze   ;   he   can’t   deny   the   BLOSSOMING   RELIEF   at   being   seemingly   forgotten   by   that   cavernous   gaze   .   lean   limbs   curl   closer   to   his   body   ,   with   his   chin   resting   at   last   on   a   knee   .   eventually   ,   kaede   responds   ,   his   ideas   as   sincere   as   they   are   lofty   ;   despite   meant   to   bring   SOME   SOLACE   ,   they’re   BLINDLY   ARROGANT   ,     “  i   guess   i’d   just   be   grateful   .   if   i  have   to   be   someone’s   nightmare   ,   it’d   almost   be   a   relief   knowing   that   i’m   only   hurting   myself   .  ”

              ❛  Whaaat?   Bitch,  yer  crazy,  ‘m  clearly  the  deity-example  here.  ❜    Though  most  would  protest  in  most  cases,  there’s  no  denying  that  he’s  an  exceptionally  pretty  man.     Even  if  he  isn’t  somebody’s  cup  of  tea,  he’d  never  really  be  described  as  ugly.     It’s  just  a  shame  that  this  fact  is  all  he  has  going  for  him,  the  poor  man.
