Life works in the weirdest ways like you will have an idea of rewriting or scrapping this AU and all of a sudden, you brain brings up something that manages to fix this plot like-
Anyways, get ready for long lore drop about Rain Sans and her AU, and it includes an AU I’ve been working on. It may be useful if you want to learn more about her (which I bet no one does-) Here we go!

RainTale
Rain’s moral alignment is neutral good. She may follow rules and laws but when it’s something bad or unjust, and she isn’t afraid to stand up against injustice even if it means breaking some rules.
Her MBTI personality is ISFJ-P.
She’s aromatic, and she’s f*cking DENSE as hell when it comes to romance.
Rain prefers to be fully called Rain Weather instead of Rain Sans, considering there are quite a bunch of Sanses with the same name. She’s still okay with being called Rain Sans
She originally was supposed to be a very moody person and most of the time she would usually break down lol- Present Rain actually has mood swings despite her calm personality but she never shows it. Her rain magic gets affected when she’s in this state.
Not sure if you guys know but Rain is trans fem! Figured out her identity a few years in Undertale: Birthstone AU. She used to be called Weather!Sans back then, and Diamond Sans helped with her gender identity.
Rain originally resides in the Omega Timeline after WeatherTale’s destruction. But something happened there that forces her to leave and she ends up in the Birthstone AU. Idk I’m still working on it-
Rain’s chain crown is gifted by Diamond. The sapphire gemstones given to her is a rare type since it grants teleportation powers. That type of gemstone property is rare in the Birthstone AU.
Rain is mature, but she can be a prankster as well. And she’s a very good one at that (ofc she makes sure it’s harmless-)
She isn’t afraid of making a rain cloud follow you if you deserve it-
Rain sucks at making jokes-
Despite her PURIFICATION magic being very useful at the state the multiverse is in, Rain’s weather power is capable of causing destruction. Her powers are versatile as it doesn’t rely on environments (meaning that whether in the Underground, the Surface, or even the Anti-Void or Doodle Sphere, she can still summon weather), and the strength of the weather depends on her emotions. Her weather powers are capable of conjuring weather-related natural disasters, mostly cyclones or typhoons. Of course, those accident didn’t happen and never will… Right?
She’s also learning to control other types of weather like the clouds, wind and thunder.
Rain’s cloak was originally owned by Weather!Gaster, given to her before her dad disappeared. Her cloak was torn after the events of her AU’s destruction, and Garnet!Papyrus modified it while Rain was staying in the Birthstone AU. Actually, Garnet is the tailor for her outfit despite Rain’s protests against it.
She misses her friends and family very much. She has survivor's guilt from being the only one from WeatherTale alive. That’s why when Ink asked her to join, she accepted because the sight of WeatherTale’s destruction scarred her, and she doesn’t want other AUs to face the same fate.
WeatherTale
In the Draftverse, WeatherTale is the only AU which has the missing children part of the OG Undertale story aside from the Birthstone AU (CourageTale, FabricTale, LibraryTale, and the rest of the Draftverse AUs does not have that trope)
Weathertale is more than just an AU where the boss monsters have weather powers. The environments of the main areas like Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland is affected by their respective monsters living there, and this causes the player / Weather!Frisk to try and adapt to the environments and use mechanics to get through the areas. (Ex. Ruins is covered with mist because of Weather!Toriel, Snowdin is constantly snowing and very cold because of Rain and Weather!Papyrus, Waterfall is very treacherous and windy thanks to Weather!Undyne)
All WeatherTale characters are the same like the OG Undertale characters personality wise. The only characters with a few changes to their personality is obviously Rain and Weather!Gaster.
Even if it’s a peaceful AU, it’s not a safe one.
Let’s just say that part of Weather!Gaster’s process in creating the Weather Sigils might’ve created a tear where a corrupted spawn resides and is the reason why WeatherTale is unknowingly and slowly self-destructing.
