I’m tired of putting up this facade of optimism but when I don’t, I feel like others see me as a bitch. I’m tired of having to look for a light everyday when so much bad in my life outweighs the good, but I know this is the only way I’d stay afloat. I’m tired of pretending to be happy, but I have to because there’s no point in expressing my unhappiness because it’s to others, it's invalid.

Refuse to Sink

I won't be weighed down,  brought down, carried around  I refuse to sink. 

I won't be lowered I will rise above  I will conquer with love. I refuse to sink. 

Courage is my guide, hope is my anchor but I won't drop here I refuse to sink. 

I am a fighter  so much stronger than I seem and I refuse to sink.

You can wink,  don't blink, even when I'm on the brink My ship and I  Refuse to Sink.
