Kazuma never left, right? Was he still...? Not only that, but was he here long enough to...

He’d gotten his phone upon returning and he had yet to meet with his two friends, though the fear of them being gone from Hive City sat in the back of his mind and drove him crazy. Taiyou scrolled through contact after contact - blasted English writing - until he recognized a couple of English characters. Shouji... That was Kazuma, right?

Unsure if he’d get an answer, he typed out a simple text before hitting send.

TO: KAZUMA-SAN FROM: TAIYOU

[TXT/SENT] kazumasan it’s taiyou im back... is this you?

The moment he received the text from Chrono, Tasuku had returned to their basement suite and began pacing anxiously about the entrance.

I know I was asleep, but he should’ve at least called me...! 

True enough, the two teens stumbled through the door, beaten and bruised. Kazuma in particular sported a rather painful-looking gash on his forearm.

“Oh for...!” A sigh. “Please sit down. I’ll take care of those wounds,” he said, already reaching for his core deck case.

“Future Force, activate.” The usual light show proceeded, with Tasuku’s hair now falling to his lower back. “Shouji-san, please show me your arm.”

I’ve always wanted to something like this from the show Cardfight!! Vanguard, where the player becomes the vanguard and when I saw Luard I was like yes!! Perfect!

New Year’s Resolution

good luck = one free small bag of your choice of candy!

“Ooh...!” Taiyou had run across the shop on the very same day they were promoting their special New Year’s treat! He had drawn a fortune just for fun and had gotten a fairly decent prize - a small bag of any candy he wanted! He was rather excited. Even if it was small, however, he wanted to share this.

“Chrono-san! Y-- Oh wait....” Come to think of it, he hadn’t even seen a certain third member of Striders in the past few days. Was Kazuma still upset about everything...?

Making his way back to the Sector oo5 apartment, he skipped past his own and went straight to the person in question’s. He was timid at first before knocking, nervously grabbing the bag of candy and twisting it here and there. “Kazuma-san...?”

Long Time No See...?

“Kazuma-san...!” As unexpected as it was, Taiyou was more than happy to see a familiar face entering the city much like him. Kazuma though, he was uncertain of this was some sort of an illusion. A game the scientists wanted to play to mess with him per part of their frightening “social experiment.”

“I-is... is that really you?” Please... I don’t know what to do...

He felt a heavy weight lift off of his chest when he ran up to him and got a better look, those unmistakable features and that ever prominent grumpy expression on his face. The boy was so relieved and he event visibly let go of a sigh.
