Dragon bless us, every one!
the process takes like six weeks, let’s be real
This is not a drill
The app is live, I repeat, the app is live.
hello naughty children it’s crunch time
Thirsty pre-Dragon Thursdays
Let's just get it out if the way early: you've heard it whispered in the crowded habitrails or in lines wrapped around the Marriott. You know the rumors of its potency and refreshment must be true, so ubiquitous they are, but the elixir itself remains elusive.
That's right: water.
Where to get it: ideally, like, bring a case of bottles and keep those fuckers coming. Realistically, you're gonna slurp it out if your hotel bathroom faucet at 3 in the morning.
When to drink it: my dudes, just hook up the IV now
Overall rating: 0/5 for drunkenness, 0/5 for (lack of) taste, 5/5 for facilitating a week of partying.
Know your cosplay!
So we were gonna do Dcon2018 changes on Tuesdays, but turns out we don’t know of any big ones yet. Let’s give 2017 a huge round of applause for not summoning any more hellbesats! So instead, let’s talk costumes.
While classic fandoms never go out of style, the cosplay landscape does shift year to year. Here’s a taste of what you can expect to see this season on Project Habitrails, starting with: COSPLAY OF PODCASTS (or web series)
Ok, so this isn’t new, because Welcome to Night Vale got a lot of play a couple years back, and you still see people in purple suits with a third eye wandering around here and there.
But this year is different, because this year we as a collective discovered PODCASTS (or web series) OF DND GAMES. And we’re honestly not experts in this because....well...look, there’s only so much time and so many nerd things to do and you can’t experience absolutely all of them.
But there’s something about a Taco and a Merle and a Lup and there’s no official art, because it’s, well, a podcast (or web series). Of a DnD game. So the interpretations are endless and freeflowing. Which means that you have no chance in hell of knowing what the cosplay is. We suggest “oh, it’s the DnD thing!” because lbr, even the players don’t know the difference between Critical Role and The Adventure Zone. (don’t @ me idc)
we here at dct are in pre-con mode
