Another of the Gray Sphere of Divines, here is Simarj. He is the Deity of Fortune, Wealth, and Trade, with his tenants being especially harsh upon those misusing wealth and resources--and especially favorable-sounding to the common merchant of a local guild, who tend to be at least mildly involved in Simarj-worship no matter the region or culture. He is especially well-regarded by Ratling traders, the Akkmese humans, the H'Zaari and all those dwelling around the Dark Elven city of M'zonathril. Sacrifices to him are made with precious gems or with minted money--which is quite illegal in some locations but underground Simarj cults make it work. Sacrificed riches tend to make their way back into Ancardia in another form, for another individual. The Deity's form, when he deigns to appear either via apparition or avatar, is very clearly that of a powerful dragon (though he has features of both the winged variety and the water dragons, and isn't clearly one or the other), with eyes that shine from within like rubies and scales of a rainbow of different jewels and precious metals. He is usually also holding a crystalline orb, resembling a scaled-up version of a mage's scrying sphere. His symbols are the crystal ball, the merchant's scales, and the dragon.
