Baccaulaureate Masses: It's More Fun in UST
First of all, congratulations to the Thomasian Graduates of 2013! I am so excited for you guys that it made me miss my own experience in our Baccalaureate Mass. It is a wonderful feeling to assemble in your buildings with your props, walk to the field while your college is being introduced (with some stops for picture-taking, of course) and hear mass with your batchmates. Don’t forget the “pabonggahan ng gimik” per college/faculty! Ah, it’s been 2 years since I exited the historical Arch of the Centuries (and went back the school year after hahaha). Finally, one of the most awaited events of the night is the pyromusical display! Here is Dragon Fireworks’ masterpiece for our batch (Quadricentennial Batch woohoo): http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=ilqml5eh9oE&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dilqml5eh9oE
As you watch it, you’ll notice that all of us are holding candles. We don’t even know that after the “Children of Unending Grace” song, it will be the fireworks immediately. So we were literally holding our candles while watching the almost 8-minute pyromusical. Afterwhich, we raise the candles up in joy and excitement (you’ll notice that in the video, too.)
To the freshmen, sophomores, juniors and “undergraduate post-graduates”, this is what UST has in store for you. It’s something to look forward to as you strive hard to graduate. Baccalaureate Masses like this you will only find in the University of Santo Tomas. Go USTe! Again, cheers to UST Class of 2013!
