Summary: They needed someone to fight against Solas. Someone unpredictable, that the Dread Wolf couldn't rattle, and who had a knack for pissing off people with more power than they did. Enter Sujihiki de Riva, the Silent Shadow of the Antivan Crows.

Varric supposed he should count his lucky stars that none of the Antaam knew who he was. His most recognizable possession—Bianca—was left at the inn he was meant to be meeting Viago and Teia at.
He tugged at the bonds around his wrists and cursed. It wasn’t Harding’s fault he had made the stupid choice for them to split up to cover more ground. It also wasn’t her fault that getting supper in an occupied Treviso without the proper paperwork was now a capital offense.
Night had fallen across the sharpened skyline. The towering buildings looked like an array of crooked, dagger teeth against the silver-tipped mountains that surrounded the city. Saffron colored windows glared down at him, dotting dark gray brick with flashes of jack-o'-lantern light.
One of the Antaam barked out an order to the others. Varric bit down on his curse as the line of prisoners was pushed forward. Heavy chains clanked and groaned. A woman at his back rattled out an exhale as she almost bumped against him. Fires crackled along the sides of the street, built from the makeshift barricades the Crows and civilians had tried to put together. They reflected across the dark waters of the canals, turning the jazz-like purple, gray, and black to a cacophony of occupation.
