it is CANON that wrathion sexy-fied himself to go see anduin. it is canon. no i am not kidding. yes i have evidence.

(the mentions of levels are outdated but that's just bc i remember what it was like before the squish and havent tried the chromie questline after prepatch lmaoo)

so, the chromie questline from legion, right? wrathion is there in the black dragonshrine (shrine?? shire?? that's BEEN confusing me for a while because im a smooth brain)

um anyways

wrathion is there. still looking how he did in pandaria and draenor. KEEP IN MIND HERE that the chromie questline does not take place during legion despite that being when the questline was introduced. chromie transports you the time when your character was level 112 , which is a point in time during bfa (time travel is dumb but hey THIS TIME it makes sense)

and! dragons' humanoid forms do not age. and they get to choose how they look.. so.. this means that at some point in time in bfa after the point in time when the player character is level 112, wrathion changed his appearance to be the Man(tm) version.

which means that wrathion got all grown and sexy-looking to go see anduin! sir that is gay! that is gay! getting sexy looking to see your best friend that you used to homoerotically live with is pretty gay bro!

edit before someone brings it up: yes, i am aware this is because blizz hadn't made the new wrathion model yet.

but the thing is, normally blizz would go back and change models. as an example, when alextrazsa got a new model, every version of alexstrasa everywhere she appears got that model (aside from cutscenes). same with kalec's human form and ysera's dragonform (also, aside from cutscenes). their appearance didn't actually change in canon, they just got updated game models. wrathion is unique though, in that he has an old and new model being used in live simultaneously, implying that he canonically (as in, lorewise,) changed his appearance at one point in time. the chromie questline allows us to see WHEN he changed himself to his new appearance, which is implied to be around when he went to see anduin again.
