Today's topic was dragonflies~
They're found almost everywhere, so all different cultures have had their take on the folklore or background story of the old dragonfly.
In Ireland, they're thought of as steeds to fairies. If you follow one, it will lead you to the fairy land.
In Dakota native American folklore, they represent illusion and poise. They also say that the dragonfly can jump dimensions.
In Japan, Britain, and Australia they're known as "devil's darning needles". In these cultures, the dragonfly is the minion to the devil, out to search for pure souls and sew their eyes shut.
