Everyone should have known it would be too much pressure for one person, fight after fight, the once sweet and naive princess couldn’t take it anymore. All the death, what was it all for in the first place? Why fight for something that will never come true? Not like the kingdoms would ever listen to her.
Fighting for peace is useless. She’ll only lose her family if they keep fighting, she can’t let that happen, she’ll have to keep everyone somewhere safe.
Morgan ran over, hugging Leo’s arm. “Brother~” She made sure to give him that sweet smile of hers she always uses when she’s trying to hide something. “I came up with an idea…but I need someone else input. Mind helping?”
“The fighting doesn’t look like it’ll end anytime soon, and I’m worried for everyone’s safety. So I was thinking, the astral realm seems pretty safe. Why don’t we stay there? Until the war is over? Or forever! It has everything we need!” The princess tighten her hold on her brother’s arm. They could easily let the kingdoms burn, to forget about them. They don’t matter, the only thing that matters is family.
“Now that I think about it, I say it’s a good idea~ Let’s forget about the war and stay here where it’s safe. That way none of you will ever get hurt! And nothing will ever take you all away from me~”
Leo had heard her tiny footsteps approaching him, not paying any mind to his sister’s sprint toward him until she latched onto his arm. He raised a brow at her behavior, having expected to be knocked to the floor or given some hug from behind. Her current behavior was nearly identical to that of Elise’s.
“I don’t see why not. Do you have something in mind for our next battle?”
Apparently she did not as Morgan started to ramble words akin to nonsense to the younger prince. Did she not comprehend what she was saying? Perhaps the stress of war had truly gotten to the once isolated princess. Perhaps she just simply needed a break from all the madness surrounding them at every corner.
With a sigh, Leo tried to get her to release his arm but that only seemed to make her double her efforts as he felt her grip grow stronger. Strange. Strange indeed.
“Sister, you know we cannot do that. It would be cowardly to hide away in here while the obvious threat still looms out there. I think it is best you get some rest before you continue to spout out more nonsense.”
