Dragon Rights
Okay, so like, I do not want to see any of the dragons being treated as possessions. That means no “Zippy Lou is Kimiko’s dragon,” or “Kimiko didn’t become a Xiaolin Dragon until she got Zippy Lou.” Dragons have rights too. We had an entire episode to establish this, if you haven’t forgotten about “Dragon Planet.”
Instead say “Zippy Lou bonded with Kimiko and they are now partners,” and “Kimiko did not become a Xiaolin Dragon until she bonded with Zippy Lou.” As such Zippy Lou is Kimiko’s partner, not her possession. This places the Monks’ treatment of Dojo on a rather upsetting level at times.
