A Night in the Forest (fanfiction

Lukas heard an unfamiliar sound and turned to his left, spotting a clear spot between the trees. He poked at Dylan's shoulder to get the other's attention and once he got it, pointed at the spot. Dylan nodded and the two headed over to the clearing to sit down and rest for a while.

Once at the clearing, Dylan sat down beside a tree and patted the spot beside him, gesturing for Lukas to sit down there. Lukas gave a small smile and sat down at the requested place. Dylan smiled and leaned against the tree, closing his eyes to relax. He opened them when he felt someone lean against his shoulder. He glanced over and smiled when he noticed that it was Lukas. He pulled the other onto his lap and started petting him. Lukas was a little bit surprised when he was moved, but started purring instantly when he was pet and snuggled against Dylan.

They sat cuddling like that for a while, enjoying each other's presence, when a the same sound was heard. They looked over in the direction the sound had come from. A small fairy appeared, flying carefully closer to them, before many other fairies appeared. They were all tiny with small wings that differed from fairy to fairy. Lukas widened his eyes in wonder while Dylan smiled.

The fairies had settled down on the flowers that were present in the clearing, they appeared to be talking with each other. Dylan and Lukas were quiet, except for the purring from Lukas.

After a while, the fairies started talking to them, it appeared that they knew English and could communicate well with the Welshman and the Norwegian. A small fairy asked if the two were together, at this both turned a couple of shades red, but Lukas shook his head and explained that they were just best friends. At this another fairy came along and asked why not and that it looked like the two of them were in love with each other. This made the two nations turn an even deeper shade of red.

After the two fairies stopped talking to them and to each other instead, Dylan glanced at Lukas. He had not really realized, but what he felt for the neko was indeed love. He hugged the other tighter and whispered it into his ear. Lukas froze slightly at the confession, but managed to stammer out that he felt the same way. Dylan smiled at this fact and stole a small loving kiss from Lukas, succeeding in making him blush even more.

The two fairies looked at Dylan and Lukas, smiling satisfied. Lukas smiled at Dylan and murmured those three short words with a lot of meaning, making the other smile and kiss him again. After the second kiss, Dylan hugged Lukas close and sang him to sleep, seeing as it was late. He looked at the fairies once the neko was asleep and gave a thumbs up, which they returned with happy smiles.

The next morning, Lukas and Dylan walked back home, holding hands and talking to each other. They were a lot happier now that they knew about each others feelings for one another.

((So, it's official! Dylan and Lukas are an item, and really happy together <3))
