hoOOW can anyone hate Liam?? I called him Space Ron Weasley -- he shows up and is instantly the protagonists best friend, he’s a little extra sometimes but it’s because he’s passionate and loyal, seems like he’d be scared of spiders

like, he’s inspired by the pathfinder but doesn’t put them on a pedestal so much, he knows they’re human and tries to be comforting and supportive even if he doesnt know what to say or it comes across awkward. i think he’s such a refreshing character in terms of... well, the elephant in the room. he’s a black guy, which made me nervous (as a black fan starving for representation in this damn genre) bc i think they did Jacob Taylor so wrong

but in a refreshing departure from shitty genre tropes Liam is a black man that came from a loving, supportive family who inspired him to do his best to do good, and he’s had frustrating failure after frustrating failure as he struggles within the limitations of the good he can do bc of shitty bureaucratic bullshit and like

he comes to andromeda and he takes the plight of the angara and the initiative on his shoulders, he sees the pathfinder taking risks and making progress and he tries to do the same shit, within the context of what he knows from his history in crisis response, and it keeps blowing up in his face but he keeps trying because he knows it’s important to get it right. he sees and considers things because of his experience that not everyone else can

he’s just a genuinely good dude, not afraid to take risks and be vulnerable and we see him act in anger at times but it’s the same intense emotional honesty we’re all swoonin’ over jaal’s big purple ass for like

RRRGH Liam is such a beautiful counterpoint to Jaal and I’m not just saying that because I ship it, like there are just a lot of themes about emotion and compassion and unity in both of their character arcs that i’m just like get the hell up off jaal’s dick if u got a problem with liam

So this is random but I figured I'd share the thought: for a story of my own, I have a race with horns. These horns are considered a status symbol and fashion statement, so older/wealthier ones get their horns carved or adorned as a form of power display. Food for thought for the lempos, maybe?

Interesting! Horn adornments and them working as a status symbol is a very good idea. For Lempo, I’m not entirely sure about their horns yet. Fuzzy’s horns change their shape based on his moods it seems, as when he’s upset or angry, his horns are taller and sharper. You could say when his more animal side kicks in stronger, then his horns become longer and sharper, too.I do have a feeling that female and male horns would differ but I’m not sure yet how. Perhaps female horns are completely different in shape, they have more or less horns than males or their horns are actually bigger than males’.Horns are always a good subject to be talked about :D

(2/2, alt account) ...Irene told Fuzzy it was okay, he doesn't have to try and force himself to change, she likes him as-is. :3 The whole time Loid was sitting kinda directly behind Fuzzy with this annoyed look on his face, like omg, guys, stop being so romantic, it's disgusting. X'D Poor Fuzzy tried so hard to go holy for Irene, but Irene never wanted him to change for her. ^u^ It was very cute. (I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something but it's been long enough that I've forgotten, lol.)
