@drakatha Yea you're good!! Just nothing plot-related pls
So are you open for art trades or is that just for a select few people?
I guess “select few people”. I either prefer to initiate them, or I accept offers from friends (or at the very least “mutuals”).
But I’m gonna open up commissions on monday, so I doubt I’m gonna have much time for art trades for the next month.

Yeah, that’s a good standpoint to have. Personally, I gotta put my faith somewhere, and it sure as hell ain’t gonna be the AAA industry nowadays.
mine is in devs with good track records, AAA or indie. even then i tend to wait until reviews come in, and not from the usual metacritic game journos.
or yknow just buy the next call of duty you IDIOT

Idk, man, one of my favorite games (Darkest Dungeon) came from a Kickstarter campaign.
and one of the best indie games i’ve ever played, shovel knight, came from kickstarter. and that’s okay. but i can’t realistically look at a kickstarter game made by some guy that claims to have worked on the dead beloved video game dev team, with claims of bringing you the feeling of nostalgia, and think “yeah i gotta pay money for this right now” or “yeah this is definitely gonna be good.”
track records dictate it’s gonna go poorly, but i give the benefit of the doubt and just reserve no feelings of optimism or pessimism for projects like this.

As long as that one spiritual successor to Castlevania comes out okay I’ll be fine
i have absolutely no expectations whatsoever for anything that has a kickstarter campaign. i don’t even give into the hype. i don’t even talk about it. ideas and concepts alone are worth nothing to me.
i dunno, if you’re gonna try to convince someone to fund your project, you need more than some artwork and the idea of “that gum you like is going to come back in style.”
maybe i’ve just seen too much shit. we gotta be smarter than this.
Yo, are you in Jerma's stream right now? I saw your username come up.
YEAH! #LOOTGET POOP HYPE
