That was just going to be the post because it’s midnight and that was my only thought but since you’re here, i dub today drakengard ost appreciation day. Like have you heard that shit??? In some songs, every note sounds like those sound effects you hear in horror--the ones that sounds like rusty metal bending and breaking. But it’s instruments, just played like someone is about to murder you with a cello. Closing (the song that plays while fighting the queen beast) is absolutely haunting too, despite being relatively simple. Literally no other ost I know fits the word “cacophony” better
