some of my drama notes on artaud. i’m new, say hello i have a studygram as well it’s char_char_studies so please go follow that if you want to
oh my the drama is delicious. gorgeous closed-up people make themselves miserable with misunderstanding is 100%
when he tears up a bit when hearing her first words? so good. feel like he's genuinely touched that she "recovers" her voice, and there is no resentment or anger, just happiness. and then pure anxiety, because her first words he knows is a call for release (ohhhh symbolic much), from the car, from this marriage, from his life.
gosh i adore their kind actions to each other. they're survival partners. gorgeous.
they're so good to each other, taking care of each other one way or other. love that he basks in knowing that she misses him, and immediately let her know that he misses her too. they seem to act like two lonely kids who quickly learn to find refuge in each other despite biting words here and there. like two bitey cats who always sleep next to each other.
inhaled 4 seasons of slow horses in like...5 days? time is a construct anyway. live for moments of lamb roasting the hell out of his staffs. the dialogue is zippy and addictive. but for that level of body count, the team is fucking cursed. lady di and lamb are two sides of one coin, charisma-wise. the park is a literal death meaningless machine but i guess that's fact.
oh this lovely show. he restored her room in a day based on his memory of her, bringing her home literally and metaphorically. it's like the last 10 years never happens and they continue from the hazy afternoon of highschool. the past is reset. a second chance is promised.
yet, both seem to tread lightly around each other. i think the past is not simply an anchor emotionally for both, but is also a wound. but they seem to know instinctively that the other is their bay of return, even when the shards lining the port.
eun ho takes care of yu jin's eating habit like a competitive cat is hilarous. case in point: the bread scene in the elevator. like there is a type of cat that only eats from the plate/drink from the cup of the owner, or type of cat that only eats snack if the owner pretends to hide it, a type of cat that do things out of spite and competitive spirit. and yu jin is competitive, even in eating. so to feed her, he has to make the food a scarce commodity that would disappear if she is not quick enough, and yet have to make the food appealing enough to catch her attention. taking care of her is indeed a full-time job.
absolutely hysterical. 2 sec after sol asks tae sung to protect sun jae, two dumb sacs almost electrocute each other out of jealousy. sol is training 2 dumb dogs.
