Kdramas 2020
5 kdramas I enjoyed the most from the ones I finished last year:
Mystic Pop-up Bar: I hadn't been watching dramas for a while, when I saw this promoted in Netflix last Spring. It looked fun, so I decided to watch it and thus got hooked back into drama watching. Found family with fantasy elements and ghosts.
Strong Girl Bong-Soon: I was waiting for The King: Eternal Monarch to show up on Netflix and picked this up on a whim. Loved it so much I finished it before starting King when it finally showed up on Netflix Nordic (they usually only air kdramas after they have finished airing which is a good and a bad thing. On one hand you can binge on an entire show, on the other, the waiting can be annoying - though there are always the alternative options...)
Hotel Del Luna: Ghosts, mysterious hotel manager, young guy who gets involved in all this all wrapped in a beautiful package. What's not to like. I loved the OST as well. I had "Done for Me" by Punch on repeat for a while after finishing this drama.
The K2: This drama introduced me to Ji Chan-Wook and went on a bit of a binge with his dramas (Healer, Suspicious Partner -had a hard time finishing that one, film Fabricated City) for a while. I liked the action and the female antagonist, but the FL was a bit too wimpy and under-developed as a character for my taste.
Tale of the Nine Tailed: Wonderful fantasy drama with a male nine-tailed fox / former mountain god who encounters a spunky female producer who might or might not be the reincarnated love of his life. Lee Dong Wook was great as always and I loved the story and the romance. Kim Bum was excellent as a secondary character.
