If I had a coin for every time Hou Ming Hao's character ties himself to a handsome guy with the red thread of fate, under the plausible excuse of delving into someone's memories/subconscious - I'd have at least two coins.

But for some reason I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again.

Accidental coincidence – Fangs of Fortune vs Psych-hunter

So I decided to watch Psych-hunter in an attempt to kick the brain out FoF mode. Two series that could not be more different, right? The only thing they have in common would be Hou Minghao in a main role. Right? RIGHT?

Spoilers ahead. In a way. Be warned. Even though they don’t have much to do with the stories either of the series, I guess.

Observations appear in no particular order.

When I started watching, I believed Psych-hunter Couldn’t possibly have any parallels or other similarities to Fangs of Fortune. Like a ML with a troubled relationship with a friend from the past.

Oh.

Well.. HMH shouldn’t get chained in a dungeon this time.

Ah. But I suppose these things happen in c-dramas.

What about fighting/dodging vines. That would go a bit far.

Tsk..

Let’s see.  The new/future besties should not get in trouble and need saving.

Hm. Something about not being careful.

So.. is there a girl involved who makes his bestie/bromantic partner uncomfortable/annoyed?

Of course there is. But I guess that one was to be expected.

Is there any mention of keeping promises?

Of course there is!

Speaking of.. This time, his bestie can’t possibly get stabby, can he?

Erm.. okay, okay.. People get stabby. Enough to stab those they like.

What about getting frozen together?

Oh. I see. If new/future bestie thinks freezing is the best option, then we freeze.

Can we keep the coat/cloak thing FoF exclusive then?

Apparently not.
