This is very true. I guess because I'm both multiracial and a woman, I take a lot more offense to costumes that mock my humanity, or the humanity of others, as opposed to costumes that let some women feel comfortable wearing a revealing outfit that they may not be comfortable wearing any other day of the year. (I also hate that the costumes are referred to as "slutty" simply because it enforces the tenant of rape culture that says that showing skin is inherently provoking, offering, or inviting sex.) 

that said, I TOTALLY agree that more mass-produced costumes should be available for women that cover more skin. At least, costumes that aren't just scrubs or or a cheap little dress from Hot Topic. (And ESPECIALLY that aren't ~pocahontas~ costumes, for goodness' sake.)

So in a fit of rage at my procrastination I deleted my tumblr.  Now I've come crawling back.  The only issue is that I now follow pretty much no one and all my followers are gone too.  Booooo.
