I getcha, you're not the only friend of mine who's content to let their friends do the kid having. I just have such a strong drive to nurture that, while pets are good for holding me over until I'm Ready to have kids and I'll definitely always HAVE them, I feel a bit empty when I'm not looking after my little nephew and I'm just WAITING for my chance to have my own kids, adopted or biological. I definitely understand the other side, though, even if I can't relate.

don’t get me wrong i’d love to have kids one day, but like. one under-four kid at a time. twins are the surprise Hard Mode you didn’t even select.

yeah twins are literally double the work.  Not that i ever intend on having children? i’m not especially fond of them and even if i was children prevent you from taking mental health breaks and i’d die without that
