Inktober:Day#21 - The Bell Witch There is not one supernatural story in American history more famous than the Bell Witch. The stories of the spirit were so widespread that they caught the attention of then future President, Andrew Jackson. John Bell, a farmer from North Carolina, with his wife and children settled in northern Tennessee in 1804. Their farm, 320 acres of rich land, laid along the Red River. They lived a peaceful life for the first 13 years. The family grew and became somewhat prosperous. In the late summer of 1817 their lives would change forever. Some members of the family began seeing strange looking animals around the property. Then late at night they started hearing knocking sounds on the doors and outer walls of the house. Later sounds were being heard in the house. Sounds of a rat gnawing on bed posts, chains being drug through the house, stones being dropped on the wooden floors, then gulping and choking sounds. They never saw a physical entity but many people felt, heard, and experienced it's presence. Even to this day, many people do. ••• ••• ••• #ibispaintxdrawing #drawdaily2020 #artchallenge #inktoberchallenge2020 #jlausfolklore #dopeart #comicbookartist #horrorartwork #bellwitch #witchart #creepyart #cartoonstyle #stylized #halloweenart #digitalart (at 池田町) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGq7RYAhZc6/?igshid=1q93ig6axuw2b
