This is how I build drawers!
On the front and rear boards, I cut a rabbet that is half the width of the front board and 3/4" long (the width of the side boards).
Then I cut a long groove along the inside bottom for the plywood bottom.
On the side boards, I just cut the plywood groove.
Then I fit the four sides together and put glue all along those rabbet joints. Then I use a strap clamp to hold them together.
Next, I put glue along the plywood groove and drop the plywood into it.
Since I can't clamp that easily, I use some old scuba diving weights to apply pressure across the whole sheet. Then I let this sit for about 30min to an hour for the glue to set.
Then, once dry, I can sand any edges that aren't perfectly flush (which is often the case when dealing with Home Depot's wood from The Corkscrew Forest, heh).
