the new drawfee episode altered my brain chemistry in such a way that i was possessed to draw not one but two pieces of fanart…
as a german literature student of course the first thought that came into my head when i heard evil alchemist with one eyeball was ETA hoffmanns „the sandman“, a short story about this guys childhood trauma relating to eyes, glasses, alchemy and daddy issues (loosely). so i did some redraws of sandman illustrations i liked, the first one by helmuth stockman from 1916 and the second one by franz wacik (1923)
i hope you enjoy these they were really fun to do!!
