Drawing Party this Thursday~

It’s been a while since I’ve held any of these (life is hectic) and I feel like drawing with friends again. It will be held this Thursday at 6:30 EST and will typically last an hour or two, but there isn’t really a time limit.

All are welcome! Whether you want to draw, chat or lurk in the background I hope you’ll consider stopping by for a tick. See you then~

Pizza (drawing) Party

We hosted a pizza (drawing) party at Mt Caz at the end of July to support Project Pizza -- friends of ours who do art endurance events to raise money for non-profits working to fight hunger. They were planning an event wherein they would try to draw 500 pizzas in a day! And any contributions / drawings made ahead of time would help them to meet their goal.

So we got to drawing and eating...

In a couple hours, we made and sent in 30 pizza drawings for the cause. I can only imagine how Project Pizza was able to make their goal, but they did! They drew 368 pizzas during their 12-hour marathon (that’s a drawing every 1.9 minutes!) and sold 456 pizza drawings all-told, which means...

They raised $4510 for Food Forward, which will help make sure that 49,610 pounds of fresh produce will get to people in the Los Angeles community who need it.

As Shing Yin Khor says, that’s 248 baby elephants of poundage worth of fresh produce!

Brooklyn Draw Jam will be at Northside Festival’s Block Party–formerly known as Williamsburg Walks–on Bedford Ave. this weekend! Wall mural between N. 3rd and N. 4th Saturday, open drawing table between N. 9th and N. 10th Sunday!

Ah geez.. so to help a friend feel better and not get lost in his head with depression, my friends and I had a little drawing party with his ideas. It was so much fun LOL These are just my drawings and I wish I could post the others, they were great xD From the top: -Jim Carrey (whom I may or may not of anime'd up a little) giving a back massage to Steve Buscemi with a corn pipe -Ted Cruz as the Zodiac killer with Obama as his sidekick -Muscle Man being angry -Hanzo being angry -A pirate parrot (based off a toy from one of our friends)
