the art community needs to return to paint tool sai . not only it's the most lightweight intuitive easy to learn software that's also surprisingly complete with many important and quality of life features while not being horribly visually cluttered, it costs only 30 dollars. once. v2 version and updates included. AND you get to support a solo dev (koji komatsu) that's been making the software by himself for 18 ywars. if you never used it before, give it a try, I promise you won't regret it

Imagine Adobe going fully bankrupt, one day they put a post on their site sating "it's been great these last 20-something years but we're closing and ending development of all the software".

Like printing, film, and animation industries would go into a quick panic before realizing it's ok since there's still pirate versions out there. Suddenly there's a surge in torrents for years to come as newer businesses and studios have to pirate the last version put out.

Corel and Affinity make a killing as they are the best option for print. Maybe they turn on customers by worsening the model, plunging them in the same death spiral adobe went.

I'd like to say there'd be a new contender for best graphics suite but I don't think it's possible, adobe spread too wide for anyone to cover printing, graphic design, multimedia and web design. For the next years we see suites specialize in niches. The ecosystem heals.

ALRIGHT Y'ALL. Please spill the beans on what drawing software you're using because I wanna tryyy and I don't know where to start! I've used Photoshop and Illustrator before, but they're so dawg gone expensive. I'd love to find something freeeee to useeee. 🥺😭

Hello artists, I've recently deleted Photoshop because Adobe is a horrible company to artists and supports ai. Can someone recommend to me a digital drawing program that does not support or use ai? I think procreate is actually openly against ai and clip studio paint was going to start adding ai to their software but backlash from artists made them back out, but I could be wrong.
