Gale romance, but what if there was more pining? I honestly really like the platonic version of this scene - maybe even more than the romantic one. It's just so sweet how he just wants to be with a friend before he decides whether to live or die.

Now I'm imagining it as the night when the two secretly pine for each other, dreaming of a what-if they confessed, but both of them not confessing (yet) because they both don't think they deserve the other.
