This is what a line is to me. It's a shape that suggests a profile of a shape to the right and another shape profile to the left. And of course, the line has its own shape. Ideally all three should tell a story like sentences do on a page. They should lead you to what to look at first second and third. This is my understanding of what art is. Hope this helps someone...
