I made this months ago for the upcoming of a book, Myth, story created by DrawingLikeASir, a dude found on Instagram. Check him out (yes, I'm making the promotion of a thousand followers already).
@umbrellanest , @justanotherotakuandartist , @dakuran maybe this could interest you as well: I've found a (german) guy, Drawinglikeasir, who kind of re-draws / alters three TCG-cards. the cards are (in order): Gravity Axe - Grarl (Magic Card); Sakuretsu Armor (Trap Card) and Elemental HERO Neos (Monster Card) I didn't translate the whole script because his results are more ‘important’. he just explains how he got the idea to re-draw the cards, mostly because of another youtuber called ohnips who did this as a gift for someone else (plus, it kind of... you can buy some other examples on ebay??? to which he gives some examples as well though you aren't allowed to use them in official duels) but he blends in an official rule about them froom the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Tournament Policy v1.1 at about 3:35min (in Englisch). when he alters Neos, he kind of curses himself that he chose a monster with fricking seven stars because he explains how hard it was to draw correctly around them :D though the hardest part for him was drawing Neos' legs / getting close to Neos' colour palette. plus, he jokes about “Pot of Greed” as well at the end :D (I get that it's a well known joke in this fandom though I believe I will never understand why it got such a running gag x'D) after watching ohnips' video "[Extended Card Art] YuGiOh - Honest & D.D. Crow", I saw that there a more who alter cards. I just didn't check if there are videos in Englisch as well so sorry for that for fellow artists and who's simply interested: he has an external page where he wrote what he uses (and I picked out what I think he uses in his video)
colours (HOBBY LINE 75900, it seems to be a German trade mark, idk)
brushes from the DaVinci-set #373
for the places where he corrects his mistakes, he uses a "maru-pen" (is it in Englisch the same???)
