Since you are reworking the baby primes au, has anything changed much? Such as the Decepticons and Megatron’s reactions to the little reborn primes?
Oh yeah stuff has changed. Not everything mind you, but some things absolutely.
Optimus is still a dad, Bee and Elita are still involved, but some of the relationships between the gumballs have changed to make for a better story. Additionally, the gumballs themselves no longer have access to their adult Prime memories until adolescence, and even then, it comes to them in slow drops until they are fully grown and can start getting back what they lost.
Additionally, the Decepticons still very much want their Primes back and are more than willing to try and steal them away for 'their protection'. However, there is a certain difference here from the original au.
The OG High Guard do actually know Optimus is a real Prime. He couldn't Prime Sire if he wasn't. And its for that reason they want him and his Autobots conquered. To them, Optimus is a kind but foolish leader, a perfect Prime Sire, but unsuited to anything else. He was a Prime chosen in desperation for one purpose, to bring back gods. To them, it would be best to keep this new Prime controlled so he can't tarnish the Thirteen. For that reason, he either has to submit to a true leader like Megatron and focus on his duty of rearing the Primes, or...
He has to die as soon as it is feasible for the Primes to be separated from him. Preferably with honor and respect, but duty comes first.
And no, Megatron does not know about this. He's rather occupied being enraged at his bestie for supposedly 'betraying him'
