What are your thoughts on Loki and fandral? And Loki and sif? Do you think it’s cannon that they were things?
I kinda love the idea of Loki and fandral and Loki and sif having a past. Loki had so much chemistry with them in the first two movies especially the second
Hello dearest @drdaddystrange 🥰
Strangely enough, this is the second time I've been asked about Loki x Fandral. 👀😂
Personally, I don't feel a lot about either ships. (Pls don't hate me 😅)
In fact, TBH, I may well have negative feelings for Loki x Sif now. She never treated Loki with any respect or dignity, starting from the very first movie. It's kinda obvious that they both don't like each other.
Now, whether it's canon or not? Hmm...
I definitely don't think they were ever an actual courting couple. And I think it's left open to interpretation whether they fucked on the off chance or not.
But... Sif has always been shown to be interested in Thor, not Loki. From their interactions, it appeared to me that Loki knew of her interest in Thor and kind of needled her about it every time he overlooked her--just his way of getting back at her for being a mean bitch I guess. 🤷♀️
Maybe they got drunk once and hate fucked? That's the only way I see it happening. 👀
Now, this ship also has Norse religion roots, which is often twisted around to apply to MCU Loki. The series tried to do this as well, and it was a messy application. Apparently, deity Loki had cut off Sif's hair to show that she had been intimate with him, while being married to Thor. So...yeah. 😬
As for Loki x Fandral, that seems to be a more plausible ship in canon than sifki, TBH. But once again, Fandral just seems barely friendly to Loki. They don't share much in the name of dialogue or interaction. Most of the time Fandral is making some jest and Loki is simply ignoring him. 🤔
I guess DashingFrost is a ship fuelled by the actors' off screen chemistry too. They're good friends and all, and it shows.
In canon, however, there's hardly anything to go by.
That concludes my thoughts about these ships.
But yeah, parting note: Don't let my thoughts stop you from shipping these pairings. You can make any ship sail with the winds of your imagination.
