leon’s least favorite killers are the quiet ones.
he can handle noisy hoards of zombies, or those big guys who stomp their feet & drag their weapons everywhere they go, always making his heartbeat roar in his ears as they draw closer — but when it comes to the stealthier killers, who you can hardly see or hear until it’s too late ... well, he just hates those guys. he hates the feeling of being watched; he hates the goosebumps he gets just thinking about said feeling; he hates panicking & throwing the least effective flashbang known to man. regardless of whether he’s in a trial or outside of it, he’d rather encounter any other killer than one of the creepy quiet ones.
unfortunately, leon kennedy has never had very good luck ... so whether it’s because they’re harder to avoid or because of said misfortune, it feels like whenever he wanders away from the campfire, he inevitably ends up running into one of the stealthy fuckers he so despises.
this is the first time he’s stumbled upon the ghostface, but he figures it shouldn’t be that different from his encounters with the others ... except for one small thing. right now, he’s looking for something that he left behind during a trial at lery’s — a trinket from his youth, something which he treasures & had felt relieved to see on his person even when he woke up in the fog ... but it’s gone right now, & he must’ve dropped it here. he just hopes it isn’t lost forever, & he also hopes he’s allowed some sort of free passage since he isn’t trying to cause any trouble. the last thing he wants to do is play a game of cat & mouse when they’re out of a trial, but if that’s how it has to be, then he’ll deal with it.
with his hands raised palms-up ( as if he could ever be armed, ) leon goes, ❛ woah, i didn’t see you there. real impressive. ❜ he’s not trying to be sarcastic, but he is trying to butter this merciless murderer up in the hopes that it makes him more likely to leave him alone. ❛ sorry to bother you, i’m just looking for something i dropped around here ... so if you could let me go on my way, that’d be great. ❜ damn, where’s charisma when he needs it?
@dreadful-shroud liked for a random muse!
