The gift for a Sun Goddess, Liquid Sunlight Contraband
From a dream I had almost a month ago
I had a dream the other day and this stuffed animal type object was in it for like five seconds and now I’ve had a damn nightmare about it tonight but the problem is I’ve never seen it before a day in my life (that I can think of) aside from my first dream that had it in it and they say you can only dream about things you see in real life, which I find to be bullshit thank you, and I literally can not get it out of my head and I feel like I’m being haunted by it but it doesn’t exist. I’m not even really depressed about anything either so I can’t be making things up out of depression.
Yes I’m aware I sound crazy but surprise surprise I have paranoia and I’m crazy so. I’m also having severe paranoia about it literally haunting me but it doesn’t exist. I even asked my twin brother if he knows of such thing after I described it, which I’m not going to do again, and he doesn’t even remember it being a thing. So why did my mind make up this stuffed animal, that’s not even really an animal, and why do I feel haunted by it.
A Vessel to collect the sunrise and sunset.
These were made this past month during my time at the Varda Artist Residency in Sausalito, California. The house boat I lived on was once home to Alan Watts and Alan Ginsberg. This is were Watts began his infamous House Boat Talks introducing the utopian house boat communities to eastern thought, namely zen Buddhism.
"inspired by bits and pieces gathered at night on Paris sidewalks or Emmaüs charity shops, at the Vanves flea market or in thrift stores. Its inspiration is from the history of decorative arts, from popular arts and from neglected objects discarded in dustbins. Their dream is to create original and unique pieces that give the impression of having always been around, witnesses to an imaginary Paris of dreams."
