Happy Easter Everyone! Hope your day was full of fun and yummy treats :)

I had time in the weekend to draw whatever I wanted so I'm back with my dream rivalry, fighting at long last <3

Now I just need to figure out how they meet...

Shane's ultra-competitiveness finds a new outlet on the Centaurs in the form of Brooklyn-99 style heists. Everyone gets into it, and obviously, they ultimately all take it (in the words of Terry Jeffords) WAY TOO FAR, but it becomes a beloved team tradition.

Shane wins the first one, Ilya wins the second one. I think they get too overconfident on the third one, and Weibe steps in and wins it out from under them. (he's the model of gentle coaching, but sometimes you just gotta handle your business).

The next year is a draw as Shane uses the heist as an elaborate way to ask Ilya if he wants to adopt a baby (they both insist they win the heist).

Then it's Wyatt, followed by Bood the next year. Then Luca wins one, with an assist from Wyatt who claims he's the only two time heist winner (Ilya and Shane each proclaim "I'm the only two time heist winner!" but the rest of the team says Baby Gate doesn't count).

And it keeps going (becoming NHL/MLH legend, along with Centaurs tradition) until the year Ilya and Shane decide to retire and are going to use the heist as a way to say goodbye to the team but OUT OF NO WHERE the new rookie steals the heist out from under them - and they feel confident in who they're leaving the team with 🥹

New installment of the Dream Rivalry Verse (kind of):

Ruby Pike's New Middle Name

Hayden Pike's twins like to choose new middle names. They also like guessing games. Somehow this leads to Hayden figuring out who Boston Lily is several years early.

Hayden Pike figured out who Boston Lily was one unremarkable Saturday afternoon in 2015. There were three reasons for this:

The Pike home almost always had a hockey game playing on at least one screen

Ruby Pike loved hockey as much as her Uncle Shane did

and, at five-almost-six, she didn't always get hard to pronounce words just right.

I think I'm craving some "Shane Hollander is good at fighting actually" fics, so if anyone has any recs, drop 'em here!

(I also just added "Five Times Shane Finished a Fight and One Time He Started One" to my on-going fic prompt ideas. It's probably jumping to the top of the list. I have Ideas, and probably it will fit in the Dream Rivalry 'verse)

I think David Hollander (Heated Rivalry) and Derek Bishop (Shrinking) should be friends, and I'm going to figure out a way to make it work in a fic that also takes place in my Dream Rivalry 'verse where David is a former dreamshare pointman.

2026 has given me two new hyperfixations: Heated Rivalry and Dungeon Crawler Carl, and when you add that to my continuing Stranger Things (Steve Harrington/Steddie) fixation, 2026 could be a fandom Year Of All Time
