I wish there was an AI program that I could use to help build up background for my writing
See, I do an extreme amount of world building and it takes up a lot of time, in part because I try and develop a lot of already established background so that I have the framework of my world set up, but that requires a lot of research which is time consuming
It would be nice if I could feed in the information I know and generally want into it and it would essentially do the research, needed calculations, etc. and compile it, allowing me to just have to read through what it compiled to adjust, manage, and write out the background information so the world has solid framework that I can build upon well with the actual story
A good example is that right now I'm working on a story that begins to deviate from world history in 1977, and I'm having to go through, country by country, and determine what happened after this point that is and isn't relevant, would or wouldn't still happen, would happen differently, etc. And while a lot of this probably won't matter a great deal in the story it does establish how the world around them is structured (like the Soviet Union didn't fall until the 1990s, so would they remain if the world was plunged into chaos over 10 years earlier, split differently, etc.?) And while I love history, it is very tedious to go through and figure all this out or to say go through and calculate how many people would exist if a lot of people died at one point or how many of the population at this point would have powers and how many wouldn't, and on and on and on
If I had an AI (or a very smart program I guess) I'd be able to feed it the information I do know and the stuff I know I want to happen and it would ideally be able to help with calculations and timelines and such so I could focus more on the things I truly want to focus on but need this information built up in order to do it properly or it collapses due to an unstable base and needs to be completely adjusted and rewritten
Would make my life much easier
